NY	3/5/98	College of Staten Island	Professor Leonard Jeffries appeared before a class and attempted to explain past anti-Semitic statements. He explained that when he called certain Jews "skunks," he was referring to imperialists in Africa, not Jews in the Civil Rights Movement.
