ADL Welcomes Argentinean Indictment Of Iranians Suspected In 1994 Jewish Community Center Bombing
New York, N.Y., March 12, 2003 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today welcomed the indictment of four Iranian officials by an Argentine judge investigating the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community building in Buenos Aires, but cautioned that “a full accounting of the involvement of the Iranian leadership and those within Argentina” has yet to be established.
“We remain troubled by the fact that this investigation has taken so long, and that a full accounting of the involvement of the Iranian leadership, and those within Argentina who aided the Iranian operatives and helped carry out the attack, remain out of reach,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. “A conclusion to this terrible situation can only happen when those inside Argentina who aided in the attack are brought to justice.”
The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.
