ADL Condemns Spray Painting of Swastikas on Church
Denver, July 19, 2004... Upon learning of the spray painting of a swastika on a church in Centennial, Colo., ADL's Mountain States Regional Director, Bruce H. DeBoskey, issued the following statement:
"The Anti-Defamation League condemns the spray painting of one of history's most hateful symbols, the swastika, on a Mormon church in Southeast Denver. Such hateful symbols are intolerable in our community, no matter who draws them, where they appear or against whom they are directed.
"ADL calls all Coloradans to join together and send a clear message to those individuals and groups who seek to foment hatred in our community: 'Coloradans unanimously reject your hate-filled ideology. Your message is not welcome here.' "
The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.
