ADL Condemns Spray Painting of Swastikas on Colorado Professor's Truck
Denver, CO, February, 3, 2005 ... Upon learning of the discovery of swastikas painted on the truck belonging to University of Colorado Professor Ward Churchill, ADL's Mountain States Regional Director, Bruce H. DeBoskey, issued the following statement:
The Anti-Defamation League condemns the painting of one of history's most hateful symbols, the swastika, on Professor Churchill's truck.
Although ADL has previously expressed its outrage at Professor Churchill's callous comments comparing World Trade Center workers to "little Eichmanns," hateful symbols are an inappropriate response and should not be tolerated in our community.
All Coloradans should join together in condemning Nazi symbols and analogies, no matter who is responsible for them, where they appear, or against whom they are directed.
The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.
