President Bush Praised for Stance Against Palestinian Terror

New York, NY, September 18, 2003 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today praised President George W. Bush for his forceful statements calling on the Palestinians to choose leadership "who is absolutely 100 percent committed to fighting off terror."

"The President's comments are an important recognition that the core issue remains the existence of the terrorist infrastructure in the Palestinian Authority and the support of it by Yasir Arafat," said Glen A. Tobias, ADL National Chairman and Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director.

"Once this fundamental problem is dealt with, other complex matters can be negotiated and resolved bilaterally by Israel and the Palestinians."

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.
