ADL Welcomes 2006 Fodor's Guide To Israel
New York, NY, June 26, 2006 … After making inquiries as to why the latest edition of travel guides for Israel date back to 2001, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has received a copy of "Fodor's Israel," copyright 2006.
Based on complaints from travelers who were in search of more recent guides to Israel, ADL communicated with the publishers of two popular travel guides, Random House which publishes "Fodor's" and Wiley Publishing Inc., the publishers of "Frommer's," both of which had not published an updated guide to Israel since 2001.
"We are pleased that Random House has acknowledged the needs of travelers to Israel with an updated version of their guide as travel to the country is on the rise," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director.
To date, ADL has not received any response from Wiley Publishing Inc.
The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.
