New York, NY, November 3, 2004 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) congratulated President George W. Bush on his re-election and wished him well as he continues to lead the American people and help make the world safe from terrorism.
Barbara B. Balser, ADL National Chair, and Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, issued the following statement:
We congratulate President Bush on his re-election and wish him health and success as he leads the American people over the next four years.
These are difficult times, with American service men and women on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan and Osama bin Laden, Al Qaeda, and other terrorists determined to crush our basic values of freedom and democracy. Under the President's leadership, we hope that Americans will find common ground in the vital struggle for security at home and abroad.
In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the President has been steadfast in his support for Israel's right to defend itself against terrorism and as a democratic ally of the United States. We look forward to his continued leadership in the tradition of bipartisan support for the Jewish State.
