ADL Expresses Condolences on the Death of Argentina's Former President Nestor Kirchner

New York, NY, October 29, 2010 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) expressed its deepest condolences to the president and people of Argentina on the death of Nestor Kirchner, the country's former president and a great Argentinean leader.

"Nestor Kirchner's distinguished service to Argentina and Latin America leaves an enduring legacy," said Robert G. Sugarman, ADL National Chair, and Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director.  "The Anti-Defamation League will always remember his outreach to the Argentinean Jewish community and responsiveness to Jewish community concerns in Argentina and elsewhere in Latin America.  He was a friend of the Jewish People."

In a letter of condolence sent to Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, the ADL leaders said, "Our thoughts are with you, your family and the people of Argentina, as you mourn the loss of a great Argentinean leader."
