New York, NY, August 6, 2009 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today congratulated Judge Sonia Sotomayor on her confirmation as the nation's 111th Supreme Court Justice, and first ever of Hispanic descent, by the United States Senate.

The nomination and confirmation of the Court's first Hispanic and third female justice is an historic step forward for our nation.
