United Nuwaubian Nation of Moors (aka Yamassee Native American Moors)

Nuwaubians say the six-pointed star represents the Sun, the crescent represents the moon, and the ankh represents the key to eternal life. They claim that the black, red, and green flag is the traditional flag of the “original Moors.”

The Nuwaubian Nation is a religious sect started by Malachi York that mixes a wide variety of New Age, Afrocentric, and other beliefs. It is also a black supremacist religion, believing, among other things, that blacks (“Melanin-ites”) are superior to whites (“Canaanites”), who were created to be warrior slaves. It has a number of connections to the anti-government sovereign citizen movement.
