Extremism Training at Las Vegas Criminal Intelligence Conference

An expert from the Anti-Defamation League participated in the 2009 Law Enforcement Intelligence Unit (LEIU) Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Approximately 90 officers from federal, state and local law enforcement agencies across the country attended the ADL sessions, which were conducted over two days during the four-day conference. Agencies represented included the FBI; NCIS; ATF; Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department; King County, Washington, Sheriff's Office; Medford, Oregon, Police Department; Los Angeles Police Department; Anchorage, Alaska, Police Department; St. Louis, Missouri, Metropolitan Police Department; Lee County, Florida, Sheriff's Office; Georgia Bureau of Investigation; Georgia Department of Corrections; New Hanover, North Carolina, Sheriff's Office; Torrance, California, Police Department; Missouri State Highway Patrol; Nampa, Idaho, Police Department; Houston, Texas, Police Department; Royal Canadian Mounted Police; Arapahoe County, Colorado, Sheriff's Office; Arizona Department of Public Safety, and San Diego Sheriff's Office.
The theme of this year's conference was "Criminal Intelligence: Improving the Odds." The ADL training focused on domestic terrorism trends and tattoos.
