An ADL expert presented at the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office Third Annual Gang Seminar in Smithtown, New York. The conference was hosted by the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office and the Middle Atlantic-Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network (MAGLOCLEN).
Approximately 400 law enforcement officials, representing approximately 35 federal, state, and local agencies attended including the ATF, Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, Suffolk County Police Department, Nassau County Sheriff's Department, New Haven Connecticut Police Department, New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission, New York City Department of Corrections, New York City Police Department, New York State Division of Parole, New York/New Jersey HIDTA, Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, Suffolk County Probation, Suffolk County SPCA, U.S. Attorney's Office, Westchester County Department of Public Safety, Washington DC Department of Corrections, Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor, U.S. Probation Department, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The ADL expert provided an in-depth examination of right-wing extremism across the United States and in the northeast, including extremist groups, symbols, and trends.
