Matt Hale’s sentencing hearing in Chicago has been scheduled for April 6. Hale was convicted by a jury in April 2004 of soliciting the murder of a federal judge, and has been in prison since early 2003. His sentencing had been postponed pending the resolution of two cases regarding sentencing guidelines before the U.S. Supreme Court.
