An Ohio woman has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Cleveland to buying weapons for the Aryan Brotherhood prison gang.

Lori Goodrich, 30, of Eastlake, purchased weapons, including a .38-caliber revolver and a .45-caliber pistol, on behalf of James R. Blomquist, an alleged member of the Aryan Brotherhood, according to the federal indictment.  Blomquist was apparently unable to buy the guns for himself because of prior criminal convictions.

U.S. Attorney Nancy Kelly said that Goodrich also made false statements about being the actual buyer of the weapons on Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives forms. 

Goodrich was among thirty-three people arrested during June raids across six Northeast Ohio counties following an investigation into drug and weapon sales.

The Aryan Brotherhood prison gang, founded in the mid 1960s in California, has built its reputation on violence and intimidation. The gang is involved in drug trafficking, extortion, gambling and protection rackets in federal and state prisons across the country.
