White Supremacist and Wife Arrested on Federal Pipe Bomb Charges in Florida

Posted: November 14, 2007

Federal agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) arrested a Florida couple on suspicion of building and selling pipe bombs.

Husband and wife Robert and Dorothy Mullenix (she is also known as Dorothy Peel), both 43, were arrested on November 1, 2007, at their Tampa, Florida, home for alleged possession of illegal pipe bombs.

Robert Mullenix, who has a prior felony conviction, has numerous white supremacist tattoos covering his torso, arms and legs, including swastikas, the neo-Nazi Totenkopf, neo-Nazi SS bolts, the Celtic Cross, Confederate Flags, the words "White Pride,"  the logo for the white supremacist Web site stormfront.org which include the words "White Pride World Wide," the number "88," and an Iron Cross.

The federal indictment charges Robert Mullenix with three counts of possession of several pipe bombs on three different occasions between January and March of 2007, and Dorothy Mullenix with one count of possessing a pipe bomb in January 2007.

Authorities have not suggested for what use the bombs may have been intended.
