A federal judge in Utah has sentenced two former members of the neo-Nazi group National Alliance to prison for their violent actions committed to intimidate non-whites in Salt Lake City
Shaun Walker, 39, of Hillsboro, West Virginia, the group's former national chairman, received 87 months, and Eric Egbert, 23, of Salt Lake City, Utah, an associate, received 42 months at the August 13, 2007, sentencing.
The men were convicted in April by a federal jury of conspiracy to interfere with civil rights, and interference with a federally protected activity, in connection with the 2002 and 2003 racially-motivated beatings at two Salt Lake City, Utah, bars.
The sentencing of a third defendant convicted of the same charges, former National Alliance Utah spokesman Travis Massey, 30, of Salt Lake City, has been delayed.
