Jacob Albert Laskey, 26, was sentenced on April 3, 2007 to 11 years and three months in prison for throwing swastika-engraved rocks through windows at Temple Beth Israel in Eugene, Oregon, then attempting to intimidate witnesses to avoid prosecution.

The incident occurred during a religious service on October 25, 2002. One of the attackers, Gerald Poundstone, 28, was sentenced in September to one year and three months in prison. Three other men including Laskey's brother, Gabriel Doyle Laskey, 21, are awaiting sentencing.

Laskey's sentence was greater than Poundstone's due to Laskey's guilty plea to soliciting the murder of a witness, soliciting a bomb threat at a federal courthouse to disrupt a grand jury, two counts of obstructing justice and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Federal prosecutors requested a longer sentence than that originally agreed upon in Laskey's plea deal. They argued that a manifesto Laskey recently wrote for the white supremacist publication Resistance Magazine negates the required remorse to warrant the sentence reduction he received in the plea deal. In the article Laskey called for political assassinations and bombings by white supremacists.

The U.S. District Judge ordered Laskey to three years of supervision after prison, during which he is forbidden from possessing materials that promote white supremacy, and from associating with white supremacist organizations.

Laskey is a self-avowed white supremacist who once served as the prisoner affairs coordinator for the Oregon-based neo-Nazi group Volksfront, one of the most active white supremacist groups on the West Coast.  He has two prior assault convictions, one on a Jewish store clerk in Eugene in 2002, and the other in December 2000, in which Laskey and two other racist skinheads attacked an African-American in Jacksonville, Florida, during Hammerfest, a racist rock concert hosted by the Hammerskin Nation.  Laskey and the two others were each convicted of a felony hate crime.
