Protesters held signs accusing Israel of committing a "Palestinian Holocaust" - one sign had drawings of Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Adolph Hitler with the words "Two of a Kind" written on the side.   Protesters chanted "From the river to the sea, we will fight until we're free;" "Israel is the enemy;" and "Thousands injured, thousands died, genocide in Palestine!" Protesters chanted, "Long live the intifada" and "Israel is an apartheid state; Israel is a racist state."   The protest drew a crowd of counter-demonstrators who waved Israeli flags, chanted on loudspeakers that "Israel wants peace" and played Jewish music. Shouts and insults were exchanged between the two groups who were confined to opposite sides of the street. At one point, an altercation occurred between an individual with an Israeli flag and a crowd of anti-Israel protesters before the two groups were separated by law enforcement. The demonstration was organized by ANSWER and the LA chapter of Al-Awda and also featured representatives from the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), Progressive Democrats of America and LA Jews for Peace.
