Anti-Israel Demonstrations Proliferate in Response to Flotilla Incident RULE Introduction

Posted: June 3, 2010

Introduction
June 4-5, 2010: "Global Day to Break Israeli Siege"
May 31-June 1, 2010

Updated: June 7, 2010

In the wake of the Israeli Navy's raid of a flotilla of ships heading towards Gaza on May 31, 2010, more than 50 demonstrations against Israel took place around the United States. Most of these demonstrations took place from May 31-June 5, 2010.

In a manner reminiscent of the anti-Israel rallies held during the winter 2008-2009 Gaza war, many of the chants, banners and speeches at these rallies were marked by expressions of anti-Semitism, Holocaust imagery and support for terrorist groups.

Read on for a sampling of the demonstrations that took place.
