Aryan Renaissance Society/Aryan Fourth Reich Skins
Formerly called Aryan Fourth Reich Skins, the group is primarily based in New Jersey and Texas. ARS describes itself as a loosely connected network, similar in concept to groups advocating leaderless resistance. ARS puts out “Reich Rage,” a hardcore, crudely produced magazine aimed at racist skinheads and prisoners.

Confederate Hammerskins (CHS)
There is an active chapter of the Confederate Hammerskins in Dallas, Texas, where the group was founded in the 1980s. (See Confederate Hammerskins in the Florida section).
December 2006: Gary Dale Stanley, Jr., was sentenced on December 6, 2006, to 50 years in prison for convictions on charges of carjackings and attempted witness tampering. Stanley, a member of the Confederate Hammerskins, stole two vehicles, and after being arrested, conspired with his mother, Margaret Menough, to intimidate the witnesses. Menough pleaded guilty in August 2006 and was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.

April 2005: Confederate Hammerskin Jesse Chaddock receives a 19 - year sentence after a conviction on racketeering charges related to a 2004 Dallas nightclub assault that left a victim partially paralyzed.
TCB (“Taking Care of Business”) Hate Crew
A racist skinhead group that started in January 2004 and has grown to include skinheads across the Midwest and beyond. It has three main cells: St. Louis, Missouri; Dallas, Texas; and Chicago, Illinois (See TCB Hate Crew under Missouri). In 2005 the TCB Hate Crew appears to have been absorbed into the ranks of Volksfront, which established units in those cities in 2005.

Volksfront, the Portland, Oregon, based racist skinhead group led by Randal Krager, established a probationary unit in Dallas in late 2005 and held a white power rock concert there. The group is closely tied to Hammerskin Nation and attended that group’s Hammerfest 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia, in October. Volksfront was unable to maintain its unit in Dallas, since their close allies the Hammerskins consider Dallas to be their birthplace and their territory.

Unaffiliated Skinheads
November 2006: David Henry Tuck, 18, an alleged racist skinhead with a history of neo-Nazi activity and violence, was convicted of aggravated sexual assault and sentenced on November 17, 2006, to life in prison for his role in an April 2006 brutal attack on a Hispanic teenager at a party in Spring, Texas. The victim was sodomized with an umbrella pole and burned with bleach and cigarettes. Keith Robert Turner, 17, was sentenced to 90 years in prison on December 11, 2006, for his role in the assault.

May 2005: Two racist skinheads are sentenced in Houston after pleading guilty to severely beating a Hispanic man in 2003 at a convenience store, knocking him to the ground and stomping and kicking him with steel toed boots. Douglas Brannan received a five year sentence on federal civil rights violations and Mark Fletcher Smith a three year sentence.

The skinhead subculture was not originally racist —and, in fact, today around the world there remain many non-racist or explicitly anti-racist skinheads (often called sharps, for “skinheads against racial prejudice”).
