This e-mail contains a "news item," purportedly culled from the pages of The Hollywood Reporter, to back up the claim.

The Spielberg e-mail and the attached news story are a hoax. The story attributed to The Hollywood Reporter, complete with remarks supposedly made by Spielberg, is a complete fabrication. A spokesperson for Mr. Spielberg has been quoted saying that the director never made the remarks and has no plans for a documentary on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
